Chaos in the Underground

This series of subways and “all things trains” are a type of “off-set pattern” painting, where the pattern is the symbol, the symbol the subway. The breaking-up, or “off-set” of the pattern, inter-change two dimensions to three. This multi-dimensional broken-pattern, in “Chaos in the Underground”, is meant to represent the fragmented, luminous, frenetic, intense-denseness that is New York.
